Deborah Zeman is a High School Librarian in DFW. She is the TxLA Publisher Liaison, Chair of the SPOT Reading Committee, former ALA CORE - SF Notables Committee, former Cybil Award YA Reading List Committee member 2023 & former member of the 2024 Best Graphic Novels for Children List Committee. She is the incoming Vice Chair of ALA's Best Graphic Novels for Adults Reading committee. She is the past Chair of the TxASL Talks Executive Board. She is a member of the Class of 2024 Tall Texans Leadership Academy. She was honored with the TxLA Branding Iron Award for School Library Reading Programs, TxASL Media and Visual Presence (MVP) Honoree for 2023 and was a finalist for TCEA ‘22 Library Media Specialist of the Year.
Zeman is a former Member of the TxLA Tayshas Reading Committee & former Webmaster for TLA District 5. She is a member of the Lewisville ISD Secondary Book Selection Committee and Library Leadership Team. She is also a former member of the AASL Best Digital Tools for Teaching & Learning and Co-creator of The Wakelet Student Ambassador Program. She authored Buncee’s SEL Lesson Plans for High School. She is an Adobe Creative Educator Innovator, Wakelet Certified Trainer, a Google Certified Trainer, BookCreator Ambassador BreakoutEDU Trainer and has certifications in multiple edtech tools.
